This homemade costume for babies entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Rachael, the 'Captain Hook getting Eaten by Tick Tock Croc' costume creator:

I'm a halloween obsessed mamma. I love funny costumes on babies and had to go all out for my sons first real Halloween. This captain hook and tick tock crock costume is 100% handmade by me.

I made the crocodile with fleece fabric and stuffed it. I cut holes in the croc neck area for my sons legs and made pants and booties for my his feet to match the back legs. I added suspenders to hold the weight of the stuffed animal.

For the Captain Hook I did a simple little red coat with gold trim and lace ruffles. I had the pirate hat from the dollar store and glued white feathers to it for the 'Hook' flair. A drawn on mustache, hook, and sword we were good to go. I spent about 35$ in materials and 10-15 hours of work.

I love how the costume came and ever surprised myself that the concept worked as nicely as it did. The best part is that it doubles as a body pillow! I hope you all like it too. :)
